Whether you live in Toronto or not, the holiday season has so much to offer in terms of things to do. One of our seasonal faves is attending Christmas markets, and the market in Toronto’s Distillery District is a must if you’re able to attend.
Some markets open as early as mid-November and are typically free to enjoy. Expect some line-ups as Christmas markets are no longer a well-kept secret destination during the holiday season. They have become extremely popular, and for good reason! The lights, architecture, decorations, and carolers all make up a spectacular evening that is so unique and memorable. You almost feel like you’re in a movie!
We love that holiday markets have so much to offer. Between events and performances, adorable vendor booths (often with great deals to knock some of the gifts off your shopping list!), and fantastic food, there’s really something for everyone.
The markets make for a great date night or girls’ night – twinkly lights and mulled wine create a great romantic ambiance; heated patios and cute shops provide a fun atmosphere for you and your girlfriends!
Our visit this year included a stop on the heated patio for a Mill Street Organic beer, visits to the great vendor booths, including Burt’s Bees, and a stroll through the cobblestone streets taking in the atmosphere. The happiness and cheer throughout the whole Distillery District is palpable, and it won’t leave you disappointed!
Grab your guy or your girlfriends and check one out!
