We recently paid a visit to 318 Queen, a 10,000 square foot lululemon store and community space in downtown Toronto. It’s one of a new breed of lululemon store that are popping up all over the city.
Lululemon is really pushing to create community spaces within neighbourhoods and we have to say – we love it! Lululemon even included local shops and vendors! The website states it is “designed for the community, by the community” and it’s just what Queen West needs!
We noticed how beautiful the décor is as soon as we walked in. The exposed brick, unique lighting, high ceilings and copper pipe accents are to die for. We could shop in this store for hours.
We were hit with the smell of freshly brewed coffee from a super cute coffee cart just steps into the store. An adorable photobooth is beside the coffee cart and is made from cute, repurposed trailer. They’ve carefully thought out every detail, which makes for a fantastic shopping experience. Talk about the ultimate girls’ shopping destination!
We went from the lounge area to the front into the main attraction – athleisure shopping heaven! We went a little crazy picking up pieces from their new Spring collection and can’t wait to add to our closets as they continue to release new items, as if we needed any more! We decided to try a few things on and made our way to the change rooms. There, we couldn’t help but notice a seamstress working away on a platform up the stairs. How cool!
We then made our way up the stairs and found a cool lounge space. The space features large harvest tables, couches and even a ping pong table. This really is meant to be a community space. There is a schedule posted of classes and events offered on the second floor of the building, which they call “The Attic,” and we were blown away with the variety and selection.
We stopped to pay for our purchases on our way back to the front of the store before leaving. We left, knowing we had just found a great spot to meet for coffee, shop and enjoy a creative space. We plan to swing by for some of the classes they offer. Visiting this store sure beats going to lululemon in a crowded mall. What an awesome find!
